  1. phrog Says:

sometimes yea. like in Exodus 28:17-20, the stones in Aaron’s breastplate–each stone representing one of Jacob’s 12 sons, and subsequently, the tribe that came from their loins.

Eze 28:13 - just illustrating the wealth of the prince of Tyre (v 2). Satan is not mentioned in this chapter. Note that chapter 28 is a **continuation** of a diatribe against Tyre. Prior to that is a diatribe against Ammon, Edom, the Philisitines, etc. and after is a diatribe against Egypt, Babylon, etc.

The description of the New Jerusalem - although possibly more deeply symbolic, this again is illustrative of the luxuriousness of the New Jerusalem, a place where there is “no want” and the streets are paved with gold.

    Jim,

  3. Question It All Says:

Depending on the stones, they are used figuratively in the Bible to describe beauty, value or even durability.
